We are living in critical times currently. Here at CameraPro, we believe there needs to be a fundamental change in the way that business is structured around the world. For too many years, business and the corporate world has been focused on only one thing: maximizing profit over the next financial quarter. But one is left with the question, how profitable really is corporate profit, if its existence depends on the consumption and destruction of the very thing it needs to sustain itself? We believe it is well overdue for more businesses to begin employing more sustainable models of profit-seeking – for there is surely more to life than quarterly profit targets.

As photographers, we understand that without the beauty of all of nature’s creations, there would be no reason to get up in the morning, don our camera equipment, and step out to witness the rising sun, over naked beaches, tropical forests, or snow-covered mountains

As a small sign of our commitment to a future beyond the next financial quarter, CameraPro is committing a percentage of our annual profits towards environmental and humanitarian not-for-profit organizations and projects, in support and recognition of the need for a more sustainable world. Although we recognize that this is but a small gesture, we are committed to constantly improving our practices, and hope in the future to be able to further improve our track record as an exemplification of what sustainable business practices are capable of achieving.

In our first year of trading, CameraPro donated over $4000 to support Climate change initiatives and environmental Campaigns in various parts of the globe. Our commitment has been increased to a $10 000 commitment in financial year ending 2009, for campaigns including Climate Change, Environmental preservation, as well as Forest-Buy-Back in Equador and Indonesia.

For 2009-2010, we are excited to announce our partnership with Rainforest Rescue, in committing a percentage of every sale towards Rainforest Preservation worldwide. Starting from July 1, 2009, for every $1000 spent through our website, CameraPro will commit a donation to save 100sqm Amazon Rainforest via the buy-back of the Choco-Andean Rainforest Corridor in Ecuador.
